#ResponsibleRegions – Fourth dialogue

#ResponsibleRegions is a series of monthly webinars dealing with the concepts of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). EURADA and the TeRRItoria consortium are organising these webinars with the aim of sharing the valuable experience of Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and local actors in developing and adapting strategies for regional development.

The fourth event will take place on Thursday the 18th February at 15:00 CET. The topic of the event is “Entrepreneurial discovery process (EDP) as a tool for engaging citizens and companies” and it will be illustrated from Ioan Levitchi, Head of Office and Expert at Regional Development Agency Centru (Romania). Ioan Levitchi will discuss how ADR Centru uses EDP extensively, even outside of the governance process of Smart Specialisation Strategies. In his region, there are experiences by private companies that use systems similar to EDP to manage meetings of collaborators and potential clients. This good and open experience is linked to the concept of ‘citizen engagement’ that we analyse every month in the #RegionesResponsables dialogues as part of RRI.

The event, moderated by Esteban Pelayo, Director of EURADA – the European Association of Development Agencies – will also include the participation of two panellists: James Wilson –  Research Director, Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness, and Teaching Faculty, Deusto Business School – and Nathalie Boulanger – Head of Department, European Policies & Innovation at DEV’UP Centre-Val de Loire.
